How you can help

Leaving a legacy

Following are examples of wording to be used if you decide to remember AfCiC in your will.

A particular amount

I bequeath to Action for Children in Conflict (AfCiC), 2 Frilford Farms, Hinton Rd, Longworth, free of all tax the sum of £............... (here you can also list specific item(s) to be given as the case may be) to be applied by AfCiC to its general charitable purposes, and I further direct that the receipt of the Hon. Treasurer or other proper officer of AfCiC for the time being shall be full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy.

A share of your estate

I devise and bequeath to Action for Children in Conflict (AfCiC), 2 Frilford Farms, Hinton Rd, Longworth ....... (enter the word "all" or the percentage share) of the residue of my estate to be applied by AfCiC to its general charitable purposes, and I further direct that the receipt of the Hon. Treasurer or other proper officer of AfCiC for the time being shall be full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy.

If you have already made a Will

If you have already made your Will but would now like to include AfCiC (or any other charity) in it, a simple addition could be made to it - this is called a Codicil.

This is a Codicil made by me, ............... (your name), of ............... (your address) dated ............... (today's date) to my Will dated ............... (insert date at which you made your Will). I leave to Action for Children in Conflict of 2 Frilford Farms, Hinton Rd, Longworth, a pecuniary legacy, free of tax, for the sum of £............... In all other respects, I confirm my said Will.

N.B.: It is necessary for every Will or Codicil to have two witnesses, neither of whom should be a beneficiary.
