How you can help

Family Sponsorship Programme

Action for Children in Conflict (AfCiC) Kenya with its partner organisation AfCiC UK has recently launched a Family Sponsorship Programme, to help street children and their families, offering them the means to lift themselves out of poverty and to move towards financial self-sufficiency.  The programme is in its initial stages and only a handful of sponsors have been recruited as yet.  The volunteer would play a pivotal role in consolidating and adding momentum to the programme, and significantly increasing the number of street children and families being assisted through sponsorship.

AfCiC UK processes sponsors’ payments and provides them with quarterly updates on sponsoree families (photos, school reports etc.)  AfCiC Kenya works with the families to plan how sponsorship money will be used and reports back to AfCiC UK on families’ progress.  In addition, AfCiC Kenya will identify new families to benefit from the sponsorship scheme.

Kenya through presentations, speeches, leaflets, letters etc)
